Math with Mrs. Brown

“Mrs. Brown has been a life-saver for our math! I was so tired of trying to get my kids to show their work, but it's easy when her videos show kids step-by-step how to solve each problem, and they have space right on their practice sheets to work everything out. It makes you feel like you're in a classroom with a teacher you know.” - Anna Horton, Homeschool Mother

Welcome!

Welcome!

Fifteen years ago, Mrs. Judy Brown had a vision. Inspired by God, she set out to create a math curriculum that integrated math with science, art, history, and the Word of God. Math with Mrs. Brown not only does this, but engages students through the three modalities of learning: seeing; hearing; doing. The daily lesson and solution videos include games, experiments, technology and art projects. Moreover, this curriculum differentiates content and process so that all students' individual learning needs are met. The District #3 2024 Ohio Teacher of the Year, newly retired math educator, and former homeschool mother, Mrs. Brown has created a free curriculum that meets the needs of all who desire to learn mathematics and where it is derived from and how it is used in God's world.

The Math with Mrs. Brown integrated math books include eight modules which can be completed in one school year. Each module consists of thirteen sections of lessons for the student to master followed by a module review and test. The text is written in chronological order. Students watch the Section 1.1 Lesson Notes video and complete the examples in the Section 1.1 Lesson Notes. The student then completes the twenty problems of the Section 1.1 practice problems and watch the Section 1.1 solution video. These step-by-step solutions discuss common mistakes and give further explanation of the more difficult problems.

Ethan Mosley Brown May 15, 1996 – November 3, 2023 Ethan was a loving, caring, kind-hearted, and generous son and brother. He was creative and endlessly fascinated by everything. We love him and miss him dearly. Without him, this curriculum would not exist.
